College List building resources

Not sure where to begin with the college search? These are great resources to get you started!

USG Minimum requirements: All GA Public Colleges (not including technical colleges or any private colleges) and their minimum admissions requirements are listed on this page.

Achieve Atlanta Match & Fit List Builder: Software created specifically for APS students to help them build a balanced college list—a critical step in the college-going process. The Match & Fit tool auto fills the student's GPA and test scores into the program, which then generates a list of school's in the student's Likely, Target, and Reach ranges. The student is then able to apply filters based on their preferences for college (for instance, size, location, in-state vs out, private vs public vs liberal arts vs HBCUs, programs/majors they offer, cost, and so on), which narrows down their list even more. Its a great way to find out about new schools, learn more about school you might've already heard of, and find out which colleges are realistic for you based on both academics and personal preferences.
  • Ms. Boykin and the College Advisors will be teaching all Juniors how to use this tool throughout the next couple of months, along with getting students started on their college portfolio!
